Sorry to hear you had a bad day. 

What props do you currently have available to work with? Maybe things can be worked around that way.

My idea below is less costume and more fantasy with an alien creature. I don't think you necessarily need props ..to me its about the creature that makes it hot. More about the characters and what they can do.

As far as plot, one thing that might be interesting would be an alien female commander who captures 2 humans (male and female). This alien is very neutral in appearance... where you are not able to tell the gender upon first looking at the creature. That is the creature appears neither male or female, but a bit of both, with a very forceful and dominating personality. I know this sounds probably like a weird idea but to me its interesting. I am not sure how you cast it, but think makeup is cheaper than props. And she would be the dom who would do lots of stuff such as bondage. Personally having girl/girl is more sexier anyday when it comes to being dom. She forces the girl to masturbate herself and cum, then makes her eat her pussy. How about fucking her with a alien shaped strapon?

As far as the galacticgirls direction. What about changing the direction of it. Seems like right now its the sub girl gets prodded and fucked by aliens most of the time. They are told of the mission at the beginning, and then visit the planet. I think outdoor scenes could work well with this -- they come across their target maybe even on the street. Imagine a scene where the alien encounters a poor librarian who hasn't cum in years. She seduces her and forces her to masturbate outside then makes her lick her. Part of the eroticism is the seduction and the transformation of the librarian into someone who changes to becoming really sexy. If you think about many of todays sci fi movies dont have wierd looking aliens.
